Peer Support Services

One of the main services provided by Hard Talks In Hardhats is peer support services, both individual and peer support groups.

What is Peer Support?

Peer Support is a type of mental healthcare based on mutuality and respect, with peer support specialists being individuals certified by their governing bodies who have been trained to use their own lived experiences with mental health issues to be a shoulder to lean on and resource with lived experience to help guide peers on their journey. Peer support specialists are guided by principles of doing things with, not for their peers, helping feel a sense of being seen and heard and empowering their peers to navigate their journey and life with their mental health issues.

Scheduling Peer Support Sessions

Peer support services are offered as often as able to, and will be offered via Zoom, but Hard Talks In Hardhats is currently a one-person outfit run by a working journeyman electrician.
